Were you hurt in an accident and don’t know what to do? Call Matthew Slowik for a FREE CONSULTATION to go over your rights. Insurance companies have lawyers on their side and so should you. It is important after an accident that you discuss the case with an attorney before the “friendly” insurance agents try to settle the case directly with you.

If you get into a car accident follow these simple rules to make sure you receive just compensation for your injuries.

  • Call the police. A police report will help establish liability for the accident.

  • If able to, take photos of the accident scene. Note the time of day, weather conditions, skid marks, debris from the crash. Note whether there are traffic cameras or surveillance cameras in the vicinity.

  • Get names and contact information of any eyewitness to the accident.

  • Seek medical help as quickly as possible. If you’ve been injured in a car accident, Florida law requires you to seek medical car within 14 days to obtain PIP benefits.

  • Keep track of all treatment you’ve received after the accident. It helps to keep a journal with notes of doctor visits, physical therapy sessions, and medications you’ve had to take.

  • Don’t discuss the case with anyone except your attorney. Much of the information discussed could later be used in Court.

  • MOST Importantly, CALL ME at 954-603-0063 to discuss your claim and how I can help you.
